trains, park, pool, and mass with PopPop John

Last Saturday we had a packed day, we took the boys to the free train rides in Costa Mesa, then to Atlantis park, and then swimming in the pool after lunch. Nate and Ben both slept the whole church service, they were so tired ;) They really enjoyed getting to play with PopPop John and Brian. Our friends Cade and Maia came to the train rides and the park with us. What a fun day!

I can't help but take pictures of Ben when he makes these dramatic faces.....hehehehe

Time to play at the pool.....even Benny got all the way in and had fun!

Visitors

So the last few weeks I have been slacking on my blogging......but not on my picture taking so don't worry ;) We started our month of visitors with a visit from Uncle Justin! We all loved getting to see him for his spring break. Brian took of a few days from work and they headed to Vegas, sounded like they had a great time. These pictures are from last Friday we took him and PopPop John to downtown Huntington. Justin tried a little surfing while we played in the sand. Our family's March tradition is filling out tournament brackets (Nate called them rockets), we even have the boys pick their teams. It makes it really fun to follow, we did it last year while Justin was visiting. This year Ben was doing the best for the first few rounds and now we are all doing pretty bad. It was great seeing you Justin, thanks for making the trip out to Cali! The day we dropped Justin off at the airport we picked up PopPop John for a visit.
I am going to get you....

Happy Birthday to Me

I had such a wonderful Birthday, it was one of those celebrations that went on all week! Like I already posted I got to go out with the girls kid free on Friday, then on Monday we had a little birthday/St. Patricks Day celebration at Cade and Maia's Grandma's House. It was so much fun, the kids frosted cupcakes, made some adorable rainbows, painted shamrocks, played games, and went on a bug hunt. Grandma Helmar had the day all planned out.....so cute. We all had a blast, thank you Grandma Helmar! My friend Nina had made this adorable fruit rainbow display (I gave up sweets and desserts for lent so they had to be extra creative) with yummy fruit dip! Then Monday night Nina and Missy offered to watch Nate and Ben so Brian and I could go out on a Birthday date.....so much fun. Thank you guys for making my Birthday so special!

On Wednesday we went to Disneyland with my friend Lori and her daughter baby Riley. She took us to lunch at the Blue Bayou Cafe located inside of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. The boys got little Pirate hats and light up cars, the food was really good. Ben really enjoyed watching the boats, both boys actually sat really well during lunch. Thank you ladies for a fabulous time at Disneyland and my birthday lunch.
