Fairview Train Rides

Well I am a little behind on my blogging because we have been really busy! Last Friday I picked my mom up at the airport and we have been going non-stop since then. We have been having so much fun, the boys and I love having our Juee here. Brian has been in Chicago on business all week, so it is great to have company!
Saturday we rode the free trains in Fairview park with our friends Maia and Cade.
The kids love this and I love the price!

Benny's Art Class

On Thursdays during Nate's preschool class Benny and I signed up for an edible art class. Today was our first class. Benny's friends Maia and Jack are also in our class. Today we painted with colored yogurt, chocolate pudding, and whipped cream. We also created a masterpiece with colored glue. It took Ben a while to warm up to the artsy environment but once he did I think he enjoyed getting messy. I think his favorite part was eating the chocolate pudding, which made me a little nervous as it was served in a miracle grow green bucket (I did not partake in the dessert hehehe). I love to let kids get messy, it feels so freeing. I had to use restraint and not paint on my face......
O the joys of being young! :)

My baby started Preschool!

Nate's first day of preschool was this morning! He was so excited! He has been talking about going to school for weeks. When we arrived he rushed in to play with all the fun toys they had set up for the kids. He seemed fine when I left, but the teachers said he got upset a few times during the class. He keep crying out to them "Please help me find my mama". They said they felt bad for him, but luckily he was easily distracted. He ran to greet me when I picked him up. He told me he had so much fun, so I think it went really well.
What a big boy!
On the other hand Ben's experience was a little more traumatic, although he was not enrolled in the preschool class. I let him play while Nate was getting settled and he grew rather fond of this fireman hat. He was very upset when I made him take it off and leave the classroom. hehehehe poor Benny!
I was so concerned with not being late this morning I forgot to take a picture of Nate with his backpack and lunchbox. The good news is we actually got to the class on time (miracle of miracles), bad news is you will have to wait for that picture until Thursday.

First Day of Soccer

Nate and Ben had their first day of soccer this morning. I think they are really going to like it! They are taking the class with five of their little friends so that makes it even more fun. Today they ran some laps, kicked the ball in the goal, and worked on some other soccer skills. The names to these maneuvers escapes me........ because I never played soccer and because I was watching two boys run wild while trying to snap some good photos. Stay tuned for more soccer fun in the upcoming weeks! Happy Monday.

Remembering 9/11/2001

9/23/2001

I know the exact moment when I heard about the planes crashing. I am sure all of you can picture exactly where you were, what you were feeling, and the details of that horrible day. I had just started my freshman year at A&M and I had never felt so far away from my family. When something tragic happens all you want is to be surrounded by the people that you love. The picture above I took the week after at the Aggie game...red, white, and blue out. This was one of the most incredible things I have ever seen.

I would like to thank all the men and woman who continue to protect our country! Our prayers are with you and your families. God watch over all of you!
May we never forget this day.

Just another day at Disneyland

OK if you are tired of our Disneyland visits...please skip over this post. As for the boys and I we are NOT tired of our fun filled days at Disneyland! Here are some pictures of our trip today with our friends Christine and Chloe. We had so much fun with you ladies! Thank you for meeting up with us.
Playing in Toontown
It's a Small World
Nate requested I take a picture of Jessie and Woody...does this surprise anyone
Since I don't get to dress my boys in pink, I was a little obsessed with Chloe's princess hat :)
Isn't she adorable! Nate was very excited to pose with Lighting McQueen in California Adventure.
He looks so old to me in this picture. Nate and Ben's ride of the week is Monsters Inc....we rode it four times this week ;)The boy and I finished the trip watching the bugs life show. Nate loved it and thought the 3D effects were "really cool". Ben got a little scared, but he clapped at the end.
So I think it was a success! Nate look so cute posing in his "bug vision glasses".Ben was not really having his most photogenic day;) hehe.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
